Suitability Comes First
Tape Extensions use thin sections of extension hair attached around the natural hair using flat adhesive tabs.
They can create beautiful results for the right client, but they're not a method I automatically recommend simply because they're quick to fit.
As with every extension method I offer, suitability comes first.
Signature Bespoke Tape Extensions
I work exclusively with carefully sourced single-donor hair rather than standard factory-produced extension ranges.
Because single-donor hair is unique and not mass produced in every attachment type, Tape Extensions are offered subject to suitable hair availability.
If appropriate tape hair isn’t available for your colour, texture or requirements, I won’t substitute it with a lower-quality hair range simply to provide the method.
Instead, I’ll recommend another technique using hair that better matches your natural hair and the result you’re trying to achieve.
Are Tapes Right for You?
Tape Extensions can be suitable for certain hair types and transformations, but they're not my first choice for everyone — particularly where the natural hair is very fine or requires more individually controlled weight distribution.
Each tape attachment covers a larger section of natural hair than an individual bond or ring, so density, placement and the amount of hair used need to be carefully considered.
During consultation I'll assess whether Tapes are genuinely suitable or whether Fusion Bonding, K-Tips or Micro Rings would give you a better result.

When suitable, Tape Extensions offer:

- Straightforward professional maintenance
- Fewer individual attachment points than bonded methods
Maintenance
Tape Extensions require regular professional maintenance as the natural hair grows.
The tapes are professionally removed, cleaned, re-taped and repositioned closer to the scalp, provided the hair remains in suitable condition.
Correct aftercare is particularly important. Oils, conditioner and certain products around the attachment area can affect the adhesive and cause slipping.
